Resumen

One of the least-known mammal species in Bolivia is the eastern lowland olingo Bassaricyon alleni. This manuscript reports a new record of the species for Bolivia, which at the same time represents the highest elevation recorded in the country at 1566 m a. s. l. An adult individual (indetermined sex) was observed at Cotapata National Park and Integrated Management Natural Area in June of 2024. This represents the second record of the species in the country’s extensive system of protected areas. All Bolivian records correspond to well-preserved areas of the country.
