Resumen
The minimum and maximum ages of the different late Quaternary moraines are given by 16 14C dating on peats. The last pleniglacial (28 000-14 000yr BP) was followed by an extensive ice retreat, secondary by a succession of minor readvances of the ice fronts and finally by an abrupt retreat reaching its maximum towards 10 000yr BP. Recent readvances reached their maximum after 500yr BP and were still observed at least up to the 18th century. The modifications of the ice volumes since 20 000yr BP seem to be due to precipitation changes rather than to variation of temperature.- from English summary
