## Resumen

We use a model for a LC circuit with discrete charge and an AC source with high frequency ω to determine its effective Hamiltonian by the application of the semiclasical approximation and the Kapitza's time-average method up to O(ω-2). The result corresponds to that of the propagation of a hopping particle in a lattice in the presence of a combined homogeneous rapidly oscillating field and a static linear field [1], where the particle's position coordinate corresponds to the capacitor's electrical charge in the LC circuit. We find results which are analogous to the previous ones concerning the bifurcation condition for the harmonic oscillator in the lattice [2]; in the LC circuit such a condition is given by the initial capacitor's charge which determines the sudden onset of a DC voltage. Another relevant prediction is the controlled suppression of the effective current by choosing the parameters of the AC source.
