A history of women in the archaeological practice in Bolivia: Challenges and projections

This work addresses the role of women in archaeological practice in Bolivia since the late 19th century to the present. Based on a review of different written sources, as well as the professional experience of the author and that of several generations of women archaeologists, in addition to information compiled and statistically systematized on the obtention of a professional degree, research and publication within of the archaeological guild in Bolivia, discusses the situation of women archaeologists in this country. Finally, it focuses on current trends with a view to facing the challenges and projections of women within this discipline in Bolivia.
